Corrections officer arrested for taking kickbacks, fondling inmate’s girlfriend

A Metropolitan Detention Center corrections officer is behind bars himself, accused of taking illegal kickbacks and fondling one inmate’s girlfriend.

A criminal complaint says Officer Scott Richter, 50, is accused of receiving $300, gift cards and sports merchandise to change the results of drug tests. He is also accused of providing an “artificial device” to pass drug tests.

Richter is also accused of fondling one inmate’s girlfriend at her home – a charge of criminal sexual contact.
