State Trooper makes wife wait for ticket as husband suffers heart attack

A state trooper who detained a woman at a hospital where she had taken her stricken husband has been suspended without pay for three days for conduct unbecoming an officer.

The action was taken against Trooper John Parker from Troop D.

The case involved Aaron Isbell, who died at a hospital in January of a heart attack.

Authorities say Parker tried to stop Isbell's wife for speeding as she drove him to the hospital.

He detained her in the parking lot and cited her.

Investigators say Parker's action didn't have anything to do with Isbell's death.
