Officer Charged With Rape, Lewd Acts With Minor
GUTHRIE, Okla. -- A Guthrie police officer has been charged with five counts of rape in the second degree, two counts of lewd acts with a minor and one count of indecent proposal to a girl under 16. The Oklahoma State Bureau Of Investigation said Aaron Lansdown was a school resource officer for Guthrie Schools, but was arrested Wednesday after investigators searched his home in the 800 block of North Kelly Avenue in Edmond. Officials said they were looking for photographic and computer evidence that might have been used in the alleged crimes. Lansdown's arrest is the culmination of a two-week investigation by the OSBI at the request of the Guthrie Police Department, officials said.
