Ex-officer gets prison in scheme

Shareeta Stovall, 28, wiped away tears as U.S. District Judge J.P. Stadtmueller reprimanded her for using her position in the department to help her brother and his associates avoid arrest.

By alerting her brother, Jerome Stovall, and other drug dealers when warrants were issued for their arrests, Stovall helped them avoid authorities, Stadtmueller said.
