Officer Arrested for burglary

Marcus Bethard is accused of burglary from a case in Macon County. Boone County authorities say Bethard was arrested on an out of state warrant and is being held on a $100-thousand dollar bond. Macon County Sheriff Jerry Dawson says the officer in question will not return to Macon County until police business is handled in Missouri. Sheriff Dawson would not confirm the officers name but says that officer was also carrying a loaded handgun.
