INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. --
An Indian River County sheriff's deputy has been suspended without pay after being charged Monday for allegedly performing a sex act on a child.
Deputy John Teeters was arrested Monday on a warrant issued by Lake County. He is charged with a lewd and lascivious act on a child between 12 and 16 years old.
Details of the alleged crime were not released.
Teeters was released on bond.
