A Seattle police officer was arrested early Friday morning for soliciting a police officer posing as a prostitute.

The 38-year-old Seattle man, on the force for six years, identified himself as an officer when Lakewood police stopped him in the 8800 block of South Tacoma Way.

The officer, whose name has not been released, was booked for patronizing a prostitute and paid his $1,000 bail quickly after his arrest, said Lakewood police Lt. Bret Farrar.
